Join us for nurturing event weaving together the healing powers of nature and sound to help you open the doors to healing and self-connection.
You will be guided on a restorative forest bathing walk with Georgie, a Wilderness Therapy guide and professional coach before taking part in a therapeutic drumming session with Natasha from UNY.Soundmedicine.
We will draw upon thousands of years of intuitive knowledge, we are part of nature and have a deep instinctual need to feel that connection
Immersion in nature is a powerful anecdote to the pressures and expectations of the modern world. It is proven to reduce stress, support our immune systems, lower blood pressure and alleviate anxiety and depression.
"Thank you for providing such a comfortable space for us to breathe, connect with ourselves and nature, be playful and take a moment away from Life. What you do is really important and very needed." Lucy
Your investment: £30.00 for a 2 hour experience
All fitness levels and abilities are welcome (please contact me at connect@thewildrevival.co.uk before booking if you have any special requirements!)
The day:
Forest Bathing
We will wander into the forest and find a quiet spot under trees. You will be guided through an embodied awareness meditation to help you connect with your senses and check in with your body. Then, through a series of mindful invitations and a gentle exploration of the forest you will find stillness in the present moment, reawaken your senses and perhaps notice a sense of joy and wonder as you experience the healing power of nature
Therapeutic Drumming
We will then settle under the trees for a Therapeutic Drumming experience - opening your heart and expressing yourself through the drum. We will be drumming together under the trees, no experience is necessary as Natasha will help you find your own natural rhythm.
We will also be using other percussion instruments as we connect and play together.
Therapeutic drumming can help you release stored emotion, help you to express yourself where words may fail and positively restore a calm nervous system.
Snacks and conversation
As the event draws to a close, we will share snacks and conversation (please bring a flask of something warm with you!)

A few words from previous guests:
"The Wild Revival Forest Bathing experience was everything I could have hoped for and more. Just those few hours felt restorative for my soul. Recently I have been drawn to nature on a deeper level than ever before, finding it grounding during some challenging times in my life. However, having Georgie there as a guide was like having an incredibly insightful, wise and calming friend who was welcoming you back to a home where you've always belonged. In a world where it feels like we're all trying to get from A - B, remembering how to just 'be', to slow it down and be okay with the stillness, and to take in the little details afforded by nature, is much harder than it sounds. But Georgie makes this easier through her gentle sincerity and authentic connection with nature."
"Thank you Georgie for an amazing experience this morning. My friend and I enjoyed every moment of it and look forward to joining another session soon. What more could one ask for on a Sunday morning."
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing is a therapeutic practice where you are invited to mindfully explore the forest with all of your senses.
The practice has its roots in Japan, where it is called Shinrin-yoku (shinrin means ‘forest’ and ‘yoku means ‘bath’ ) and so shinrin-yoku means to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest. It is immersive, sensory and deeply restorative but I promise you can keep your clothes on!
Often when we are out in nature we have a purpose – we are exercising, walking the dog, counting steps, chatting with friends or out with our kids. Forest bathing is the opposite of this… it is simply ‘being’ in nature. To be 'here', not 'there'. You will be guided through a series of invitations to help you slow down and awaken your senses so that you can experience nature's medicine
When we open our senses to the forest, we begin to connect with her. There is a felt sense that we belong to the natural world. And when we connect with the forest something amazing happens – we begin to connect with ourselves 💚
