Join us for a restorative Forest Bathing experience and a transformative Sound Journey deep in the woodland at Lytham Hall
Immersion in nature is a powerful anecdote to the pressures and expectations of the modern world. It is proven to reduce stress, support our immune systems, lower blood pressure and alleviate anxiety and depression.
We will draw upon thousands of years of intuitive knowledge: we are part of nature and have a deep and instinctual need to feel that connection.
We have curated a nurturing mini retreat for you, weaving together the healing powers of nature and sound to help you open the doors to healing and self-connection.
The day:
Forest Bathing
We will wander into the forest and find a quiet spot under trees. You will be guided through an embodied awareness meditation to help you connect with your senses and check in with your body. Then, through a series of mindful invitations and a gentle exploration of the forest you will find stillness in the present moment, reawaken your senses and perhaps notice a sense of joy and wonder as you experience the healing power of nature
Plant medicine and nature journalling
A gentle journalling session guided by the support of pure essential oils to anchor your awareness and focus your energy. As scent awakens memory and intuition, you’ll be invited to reflect on what truly matters. What feels alive, important, and ready for your attention in this season of life?
Sound bathing journey
Natasha from UNY Soundbaths will then guide us through a beautiful sound bathing journey as we ground to Mother Earth. The medicine of sound will ignite your inner flame and open your heart space as we prepare for the expansive energy of Summer
You can also expect a more personal experience, with 1-1 sound medicine interactions using singing bowls, drums and rattles to connect you to the dynamic and energetic element of fire. Experiencing all of this under the protection of the trees and fully immersed in nature
Homemade cake and conversation
As the day draws to a close, we will share cake, herbal tea and conversation with a community of wild ones (picnic style!)
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing is a therapeutic practice where you are invited to mindfully explore the forest with all of your senses.
The practice has its roots in Japan, where it is called Shinrin-yoku (shinrin means ‘forest’ and ‘yoku means ‘bath’ ) and so shinrin-yoku means to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest. It is immersive, sensory and deeply restorative but I promise you can keep your clothes on!
Often when we are out in nature we have a purpose – we are exercising, walking the dog, counting steps, chatting with friends or out with our kids. Forest bathing is the opposite of this… it is simply ‘being’ in nature. To be 'here', not 'there'. You will be guided through a series of invitations to help you slow down and awaken your senses so that you can experience nature's medicine
When we open our senses to the forest, we begin to connect with her. There is a felt sense that we belong to the natural world. And when we connect with the forest something amazing happens – we begin to connect with ourselves 💚
“Awakening our senses is the pathway to connection with the natural world and the present moment”
A few words from previous guests:
"Thank you for providing such a comfortable space for us to breathe, connect with ourselves and nature, be playful and take a moment away from Life. What you do is really important and very needed."
"The Wild Revival Forest Bathing experience was everything I could have hoped for and more. Just those few hours felt restorative for my soul. Recently I have been drawn to nature on a deeper level than ever before, finding it grounding during some challenging times in my life. However, having Georgie there as a guide was like having an incredibly insightful, wise and calming friend who was welcoming you back to a home where you've always belonged. In a world where it feels like we're all trying to get from A - B, remembering how to just 'be', to slow it down and be okay with the stillness, and to take in the little details afforded by nature, is much harder than it sounds. But Georgie makes this easier through her gentle sincerity and authentic connection with nature."
"Thank you Georgie for an amazing experience this morning. My friend and I enjoyed every moment of it and look forward to joining another session soon. What more could one ask for on a Sunday morning."
