Autumnal Nature Retreat

  • Lytham Hall Lytham Saint Annes, England, FY8 4TS United Kingdom (map)

A restorative and uplifting seasonal retreat in the forest, to help you rekindle your connection with nature and with your wild self.

September is a transitional month, as we move from the extroverted, outward energy of the Summer to the quieter reflective energy of Autumn.

This retreat embodies the rhythms in nature; an invitation to embrace change, release the things that make you feel heavy and find peace in the knowledge that renewal and growth are always on the horizon.

Expect Autumnal forest bathing invitations to help you reconnect with nature, the changing season and with yourself, creative nature therapy activities, a shamanic drumming experience with the lovely Janet Buckingham, facial oil workshop, nature journalling and so much more! (see the full programme below!)

Whether you're feeling a little burnt out, disconnected or simply craving time to breathe, this retreat is your invitation to slow down, welcome the new season and come home to yourself.

What you'll experience

Forest Bathing & Nature Immersion

Through a series of mindful invitations and a gentle exploration of the forest you will find stillness in the present moment, reawaken your senses and perhaps notice a sense of joy and wonder as you experience the healing power of nature. We will weave nature connection activities throughout the day, so that you feel deeply nourished and supported by the forest

Make your own natural facial oil workshop:

A slower, sensory session where you'll blend your own facial oil using pure essential oils. You'll leave with a small bottle made just for you, and a new evening ritual to enjoy through Autumn

Letting go ritual: The trees reminds us of the wisdom and importance of letting go – releasing the beliefs or burdens that make us feel heavy. A beautiful ritual that embodies the cycle of life and nature, creating space for growth and renewal

Nature Journalling & Sharing Circle Time to reflect and write, nestled among the trees. With gentle prompts shaped around the changing seasons and a supportive circle of women around you, you'll have space to explore what's stirring within you and what you'd like to call in Autumn. (A super relaxed session, no pressure to share!)

Root and Release Meditation A guided moment of stillness to anchor your energy, reconnect with your breath and settle into your body, supported by the scent of pure essential oils chosen for the season.

Shamanic Drumming Experience: As the light softens and the day draws to a close, we'll gather for our final deeply restorative ritual, a shamanic drumming experience with the lovely Janet Buckingham. Allowing the rhythmic beat of the drum to wash over you, slow your heart rate and quieting your mind, whilst inviting a somatic release within your body. A beautiful journey of sound to help you reconnect with the primal instinctual part of yourself.

Good Food & Good Company We'll share a nourishing vegetarian lunch together, plus homemade cake, hot drinks and snacks throughout the day. All dietary requirements are catered for. Just drop me a message if you have any allergies.

You Belong Here It matters to me that you feel able to show up exactly as you are. My retreats are kept intentionally small so that real connection can happen, and they always draw a genuinely lovely group of women. Many arrive a little nervous, especially if they're coming solo, and every single one leaves feeling held. You are so welcome here.

My day retreats feel like taking a giant exhale (or roar!). Your shoulders relax, your jaw softens as you allow yourself to be held by the forest and by your fellow retreaters for a whole day. Totally at ease to be your weird and wonderful, unique self (even if it feels uncomfortable at first), safe enough to reflect, opening yourself up to the joy and wonder of the forest. Settling into a deeply relaxed state. Nurturing real and authentic connection with yourself and with a small group of guests.

Yes, we will have a beautiful day together, a sacred pause and time to reflect but I also want you to return to life feeling that you understand yourself a little bit better, feeling capable, content and connected to yourself and nature.

This was my first Forest Retreat with Georgie at and it did not disappoint. The sessions was original, fascinating and mindful, whilst still being joyful. I felt that Georgie really had our individual interests at heart. The whole day was an absolute pleasure and I found it so fulfilling and beneficial.I cannot wait to see you again on your next retreat.

What is Forest Bathing?

Forest bathing is a therapeutic practice where you are invited to mindfully explore the forest with all of your senses.

The practice has its roots in Japan, where it is called Shinrin-yoku (shinrin means ‘forest’ and ‘yoku means ‘bath’ ) and so shinrin-yoku means to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest. It is immersive, sensory and deeply restorative but I promise you can keep your clothes on!

Often when we are out in nature we have a purpose – we are exercising, walking the dog, counting steps, chatting with friends or out with our kids. Forest bathing is the opposite of this… it is simply ‘being’ in nature. To be 'here', not 'there'. You will be guided through a series of invitations to help you slow down and awaken your senses so that you can experience nature's medicine

When we open our senses to the forest, we begin to connect with her. There is a felt sense that we belong to the natural world. And when we connect with the forest something amazing happens – we begin to connect with ourselves 💚

A few words from retreaters:

"It was also a wonderful feeling to let go of things in life that had been weighing me down and visualise what I want from the future.

I cannot thank Georgina enough for such a special experience, I learnt so many invaluable skills that I am now implementing into my daily life." Charlotte

"I’d never done anything like this before, so didn’t know what to expect. I appreciated how safe the environment felt, there was no pressure to share or feelings of judgement. I really enjoyed doing the nature connection activities and appreciate how Georgie made time for communication and interactions. It felt really touching to make a connection with the other retreaters. I came away feeling energised and inspired. A truly wonderful experience, I feel privileged to have taken part, and would encourage anyone thinking about it to go for it! " Annie
