Forest Bathing at Lytham Hall

  • Lytham Saint Annes, England, FY8 4JZ United Kingdom (map)

This forest bathing experience is the antidote to the busyness and pressures of everyday life.

Through a series of mindful invitations and a gentle exploration of the forest you will find stillness in the present moment, reawaken your senses and perhaps notice a sense of joy and wonder as you experience the healing power of nature!

The practice of forest bathing brings your mind and body into a quiet, relaxed state (yes, even the stressed out souls amongst us that suffer from chronic thinking and overactive minds). It brings a beautiful awareness of where we are and also what we are feeling and experiencing in the moment, opening the doors to healing and self-connection.

The forest knows what you need, but most guests report a sense of deep relaxation, and a feeling of being more connected to themselves and the world around them.

You will share the experience with a small group of like-minded individuals, and we will stop for herbal tea and conversation to conclude this sacred time in the forest.

This is for you if:

🌱 you are looking for a deeply restorative experience in nature

🌱 you are curious about how nature can transform your wellbeing

🌱 you are feeling called to improve your physcial and mental health

🌱 you are feeling distracted and struggle to cultivate a sense of presence and stillness

🌱 you are a nature lover and want to strengthen and explore your connection with nature

🌱you are looking to learn nature- based skills to help you manage stress and overwhelm

What is Forest Bathing?

Forest bathing is a therapeutic practice where you are invited to mindfully explore the forest with all of your senses.

The practice has its roots in Japan, where it is called Shinrin-yoku (shinrin means β€˜forest’ and β€˜yoku means β€˜bath’ ) and so shinrin-yoku means to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest. It is immersive, sensory and deeply restorative but I promise you can keep your clothes on!

Often when we are out in nature we have a purpose – we are exercising, walking the dog, counting steps, chatting with friends or out with our kids. Forest bathing is the opposite of this… it is simply β€˜being’ in nature. To be 'here', not 'there'. You will be guided through a series of invitations to help you slow down and awaken your senses so that you can experience nature's medicine

When we open our senses to the forest, we begin to connect with her. There is a felt sense that we belong to the natural world. And when we connect with the forest something amazing happens – we begin to connect with ourselves πŸ’š

The practice of Forest Bathing has been scientifically proven to:

πŸ„ Strengthen your immune system

πŸ„ Regulate your nervous system

πŸ„ Reduce inflammation in the body

πŸ„ Reduce incidence or severity of depression, anxiety and other mood disorders

πŸ„ Increase feelings of gratitude, selflessness and wonder

πŸ„ Promote a sense of mental relaxation (decreased tendency to ruminate)

πŸ„ Increase feelings of gratitude, selflessness and wonder

πŸ„ have a positive impact on people who have ADHD, migraines, respiratory diseases and diabetes

β€œAwakening our senses is the pathway to connection with the natural world and the present moment”

A few words from previous guests:

"Thank you for providing such a comfortable space for us to breathe, connect with ourselves and nature, be playful and take a moment away from Life. What you do is really important and very needed."

"The Wild Revival Forest Bathing experience was everything I could have hoped for and more. Just those few hours felt restorative for my soul. Recently I have been drawn to nature on a deeper level than ever before, finding it grounding during some challenging times in my life. However, having Georgie there as a guide was like having an incredibly insightful, wise and calming friend who was welcoming you back to a home where you've always belonged. In a world where it feels like we're all trying to get from A - B, remembering how to just 'be', to slow it down and be okay with the stillness, and to take in the little details afforded by nature, is much harder than it sounds. But Georgie makes this easier through her gentle sincerity and authentic connection with nature."

"Thank you Georgie for an amazing experience this morning. My friend and I enjoyed every moment of it and look forward to joining another session soon. What more could one ask for on a Sunday morning."
